Formal/informal assessment is to measure a client's academic skills and intelligence through multiple tests, interview, and behavior observation. Assessment results show the client's areas of strength and needs as well as the overall picture of his/her skills. Qualifications to administer assessment vary by the types of assessment, but in general, administrators must be familar with advanced statistics.
